Go green for New Building or Renovating

Go green for New Building or Renovating.

Besides being environmentally friendly, going ‘Green’ for your new home construction or renovation can save you money. Look into recycled flooring, recycled content countertops, and low volatile organic compounds for your building materials.

Recycled Flooring: Consider carpet mad entirely from recycled plastic bottles. If carpet is not suitable, wood floors can be recycled too. Reclaimed wood flooring adds character and patina look to interiors that cannot be duplicated by new materials.

Recycled-Content Countertops: Look for post consumer recycled glass to create glass and concrete surfaces in a variety of colors. For solid surfaces, there are post industrial scrap aluminum that can look like an art work.

Low Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) paints and finishes and cleaning products: Limit your exposure to potentially harmful air pollutants by selecting products with low VOC options. Some products with low VOCs are low-odor and mildew-resistant.
